About Mohammad Mahamood

Mohammad Mahamood (M. Phil., Ph. D.) also known as Sanoi and Amu is a Pangal zoologist who is known for his contributions to the field of Nematology. He has had a considerably struggling phase in his student life and afterwards. In spite of all odds of hailing from a very small village, he managed to get higher education from some premier institutes of the country and also serve some leading universities as a faculty. He has published three books and a good number of research papers. One of his books is published in the famous Academic Press, an imprint of Elsevier Publication. He is thus the first Pangal to publish an authored book in AP. He has been a recipient of some prestigious fellowships/scholarships. He is also the founding president of Prism Educational Society, a not for profit NGO which works for the educational upliftment of the less-privileged section of the society. He is a reviewer of six prestigious journals published from different parts of the world. He has also been the Editor-in-Chief of International Research Journal of Natural and Applied Sciences during 2015-2018.

Positions

Mahamood has had a really struggling phase of his career in Aligarh Muslim University where he served the university as a Guest Faculty (4 terms), Assistant Professor (ad-hoc - 3 terms), Assistant Professor (contractual - 1 term). He has served the Glocal University, Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh as an Assistant Professor for two years. Since 2014, he has been serving the University of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in different positions as a Visiting Faculty (first at Assistant Professor level, then Associate Professor and now Professor). Presently he is serving the Department of Biology, Qassim University, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as a full time faculty.
